KB Studio was founded by Chicago artist/educator Kaye Buchman and brings together her extensive fine art and design background, her longstanding commitment to art education, and her passion for community building through the arts. She has taught for over 30 years at many prominent colleges and art centers including the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, City Colleges of Chicago, Oxbow School of Art, and Hyde Park Art Center. She has also developed and implemented fine art and design programs for the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and created after school and volunteer arts programs for K-8 public and private schools.

Kaye's studio work includes large-scale pen & ink drawing, mixed-media painting, thematic bookmaking, animation, and printmaking. She has exhibited her work locally and nationally, won numerous awards, and attended several residencies including Oxbow School of Art in Saugatuck, Michigan and Ragdale in Lake Forest, Illinois. She has a BFA in Printmaking from Illinois State University and an MFA in Painting and Drawing from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her work can be viewed at
