September 2018: Brushwood Center at Ryerson Woods, in Riverwoods, Illinois, will be hosting a KB Studio community exhibition in conjunction with Kaye Buchman's Head in the Trees exhibition. Opening Sunday, September 16th at 1:00pm, the work in these exhibitions has been inspired by forest life and the stories these natural spaces tell. Participating student artists include Joan Baer, Virginia Carstarphen, Marcia Festen, Susan Gamerman, Catherine Kiwala, Katherine Nemanich, Phyllis Rabineau, Mary Riday, Sue Teller, Sasha Weinert, and Jan Wishinsky.
June 2018: The 2nd Annual KB Studio Community Exhibition, a collection of paintings, drawings, prints, books and mixed-media projects by thirteen wonderful artists, will be on display June 8 - August 10, 2018.
May 2018: Entanglements, an exhibition of mixed-media artworks by Chicago artists Virginia Carstarphen and Sue Teller, will be on display May 11 - June 3, 2018. Opening Friday, May 11th from 6:00-8:30pm, this show has been inspired by current ecological issues facing our world. Natural matter is explored as both guiding subject and primary material while forming connective threads in the drawings, paintings, and prints of these two outstanding artists.
January 2018: Eco Connections, a thematic exhibition of works showcasing the beauty and mystery of our natural world, will be on display January 5 - 26, 2018. Opening January 5th from 6-8pm, this show will feature the work of 11 artists that have participated in 2017 KB Studio programs. The show is intended to shine light on the relationships that connect our many complex life-supporting ecosystems and includes paintings, drawings, prints, and inspirational objects.
July 2017: The 1st Annual KB Studio Student Exhibition is on display July 21-August 20, 2017. This show includes the paintings, drawings, prints, books, and mixed-media works of eleven outstanding student artists. Exhibition hours: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 1-5pm, Saturday 12-5pm, Sunday 2-6pm.
June 2017: Ed's Shed, a memorial exhibition honoring Chicago artist/educator Edward Pino, will be on display June 24-July 9, 2017. This exhibition will showcase Pino's drawings, paintings, mixed-media images, and found object sculptures. The show will open to the public on Saturday, June 24th at 6:00pm.
