KB Studio is a fine arts education center located in the heart of Chicago's East Rogers Park neighborhood. Founded and directed by artist & educator Kaye Buchman, the studio is dedicated to helping students learn contemporary visual arts practices that will enrich their lives and the world around them.
Hands-on art making experiences allow students to discover a wide range of technical, conceptual, and imaginative skills that lead to meaningful art production. Visual arts classes, workshops, exhibitions, and special events provide multiple outlets for creative expression and community building.
Small class sizes and personalized instruction provide unique opportunities for in-depth learning for those new to the arts as well as those seeking to refresh their visual arts practices. Areas of study include bookmaking, collage/mixed-media, drawing, journals/sketchbooks, painting, and printmaking. Independent projects and interdisciplinary studies are enthusiastically supported.
