KB Studio is a fine art and design center located in Chicago's East Rogers Park neighborhood. Founded and directed by artist & educator Kaye Buchman in 2017, the studio is dedicated to promoting the arts through hands-on education, contemporary art exhibitions, and community partnerships.
Hands-on art making experiences allow students to discover a wide range of technical, conceptual, and imaginative skills that lead to meaningful art production. Courses, workshops, and private instruction provide in-depth, personalized learning opportunities for adults new to the arts as well as those seeking to refresh and expand their visual arts practices. Areas of study include painting, drawing, collage/mixed-media, printmaking, and sketchbooks/bookmaking.
Two-person, group, and thematic exhibitions provide opportunities for students interested in learning about exhibition planning, curation, and installation. Through exhibition openings and associated events, students can share their work with the larger community and engage in important conversations about their creative goals.
Studio partnerships support a wide range of collaborative art and design initiatives for schools, non-for-profit organizations, and businesses. Custom designed classes and workshops, creativity seminars, and mural-painting programs are offered on-site and on-location.
