Through online art support and guidance, students will explore the artist's sketchbook through a variety of subjects, materials, methods, and creative processes. Sketchbook assignments will be emailed three times a week to encourage good art habits and steady progress, and are designed to allow for broad interpretation. Assignments will focus on traditional and contemporary approaches and the use of a wide range of media including graphite, pen and ink, color pencil, watercolor, and collage.
Weekly one-on-one Zoom meetings will allow the sharing of images, technical processes, and supportive feedback. Students will also be invited to participate in Tuesday evening Zoom group meetings and take part in online community projects and exhibitions.
Early registration is highly recommended to secure a recurring one-hour weekly one-on-one meeting time. Instructor availability: Tuesdays and Fridays between 10am-4pm, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 10am-4pm and 6-9pm.
